My Approach

Welcome to Invictus Psychotherapy. I’m Sam Anderson, a licensed psychotherapist with over 15 years of experience helping teens and adults navigate anxiety, depression, anger, and the lasting impact of stress and trauma.

My approach is grounded in a simple idea: awareness is the first step toward change. Together, we work to understand the patterns, thoughts, and experiences that may be keeping you stuck, while also building practical skills you can use in your daily life.

Therapy with me is both structured and flexible—supportive, but also focused on helping you make real, lasting progress so you can feel more in control and move forward with confidence.

Research-Based

My work is grounded in proven, evidence-based approaches. I draw from CBT, DBT, and CPT to help you manage emotions, respond more effectively to stress, and create meaningful, sustainable change.

Compassionate

Therapy with me is supportive, real, and nonjudgmental. I create a space where you can be honest about what you’re going through—while also offering direct, thoughtful feedback to help you grow and move forward.

Quality Therapy

I keep a smaller caseload so I can be fully present and intentional in my work. Our sessions are focused, personalized, and built around your goals—balancing deeper insight with practical strategies that lead to meaningful change.

If you’re looking for therapy that goes beyond just talking—where you can better understand yourself and learn how to create real change—I’d be glad to work with you.

Next Steps

The most important factor in successful therapy is the connection between you and your therapist. To ensure we’re a good fit, I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation—by phone, in person, or via Zoom.

This brief conversation gives us a chance to connect, answer your questions, and see if my approach aligns with your needs. When you’re ready, reach out to schedule your consultation and take the first step toward feeling more in control and supported.
