Free Consultation session
The consultation session is a no strings attached way to gauge the appropriateness of fit between yourself and I. This can be a quick way for both of us to assess fit based on personality, therapy style, your specific needs, and an opportunity to answer any logistical questions.
The importance of finding the right fit:
Research has shown that the most important factor for whether or not therapy will be successful is the quality of the relationship between you and your therapist. Because this relationship is so important, I offer a free 15-minute consultation for all interested individuals. This consultation gives us the opportunity to get to know each other before deciding to move forward. I offer this consultation over the phone, in person, or via Zoom.
The initial consultation is an opportunity for a short "meet-and-greet" for us to get to know each other. It allows time for:
You to ask questions about my therapy practice, style, and values associated with therapy.
For me to ask questions to you regarding current challenges, what you are looking for in a therapist, and identifying if I will be able to meet your therapeutic needs.
For me to provide information to you regarding the types of therapy that may be helpful and answer questions regarding that type of therapy.
To troubleshoot any scheduling and / or financial policies.
