Depression can feel like a heavy weight, keeping us from the life that we want to live.  Treatment can be highly effective in reducing depressive symptoms and releasing that heavy weight on your shoulders. 

If you are dealing with depression, you may be experiencing some of the following symptoms: low self esteem, urges to isolate, judgments towards self, loss of interest and / or pleasure in activities, insomnia / hypersomnia, restlessness, overeating / undereating, and thoughts of self harm. 

Having someone to support you while in this low place can be imperative to working towards change and challenging your depression.  I use a combination of a skills-based approach, behavioral therapy, and strengths-based approach to meet you where you are at and assist in taking the first steps towards recovery.
